Success story
Our solution for BMW
The BMW plant in Regensburg, Germany, has high demands when it comes to air cleanliness. Cars can only be assembled and painted with the high quality required if the air is extremely clean. AIRTEC has been responsible for managing the ventilation systems at BMW’s Regensburg location since 2003. In the meantime, our filter management includes areas such as the ventilation system in the paint shops, the air supply in the assembly areas, the extraction and exhaust systems, and the air conditioning in offices.
What started with operating and maintaining individual ventilation installations, led to a complete optimisation of the ventilation system: the AIRTEC Service Team improved its condition, the filter classes and the service life of the filters sustainably, so achieving stable, high air quality, with lower costs for energy and filter deployment.
The advantages for BMW
- Reduced energy costs of more than 15 % for the process air systems
- Increased process reliability (no failures because of filtration, and no quality losses)
- Strict compliance with and documentation of air hygiene requirements
- Reduction in the filter types used and extension of filter service lives by 6 to 12 months
- Increase in the first-run rate by approx. 75 % to more than 90 %
